Just start walking - flowers, butterflies, birds, the odd cow, and if you´re lucky and discreet, badgers, foxes, deer.
Or if you really want to stretch your legs you can follow one of the many marked footpaths. There is even an app you can download so you don't get lost.
If you don't want to go too far, the village of Alpens is within easy reach, where you can stop for refreshment.
Alpens is a small village with a lot going on. It boasts a beautiful turn of the century "casino" and theatre offering regular plays, concerts and other entertainment, as well as a bar and restaurant.
Alpens is renowned for its forged metal. Every two years it hosts a convention of metalworkers where they display their art working on a collaborative project for the community.
There are various small shops and bakeries, both in Alpens and in the neighbouring villages, and they provide a good choice of bread, wine, and other essentials of life.
Alpens maintains the tradition of the "festa major" where the whole village gets together to party with music, dancing and food.
Fireworks play an important role, as does the annual performance of the "versots", a very popular and very funny homemade production in verse satirising members of the community and events of the year.
